Description Tea kettle on stand from a five piece tea and coffee service with a circular body of flattened ball forms flat-chased with ivy and birds motifs on matte band, beading at shoulder, faceted handle with ivory insulators, and spout with cast and applied ivy on exterior. The kettle is on a stand with stepped circular burner with domed attached wick cover and handle with knurled thumbscrew, screw-off cover, burner unit fits into ring with lugs to hold it securely, pierced circular base supported by four heavily knuckled claw-and-ball feet with cast and applied ivy sprigs, and cast ivy motifs attached to lower skirt. Kettle is hinged to base with pivots, silver swing handle with cast and applied ivy, cover flat-chased with ivy and anthemia and cast cherub seated on rock finial. Inscription: Kettle engraved with initials in reserve: RB. Mark: Struck on underside of hot-water kettle: TIFFANY & CO / 1559 / [Gothic M in oval]/ QUALITY/925-1000 / 4481 / [Gothic M in oval] / 550 BROADWAY.
