Description This painting depicts the Neapolitan-born panoramic and historical painter, Nicolino Calyo (1799-1884), whose career centered in New York from 1835 until his death in 1884. His son, John A. Calyo, also a landscape painter, formed a partnership with his father in New York in 1848.
