Description The one insisting that they should run out docks and wharfs; and the other that it should be cut up and intersected by canals after the manner of Old Amsterdam. The dispute ended in high words without coming to any conclusion on a subject of so much interest to posterity and was the cause of much bad feeling between the parties and their descendants ever after.
