Description Positively no free list. "Wyberd's Patent Diffusive Daylight Reflectors" are now in use in the wax figure salon of the Museum. The Magnetic Telegraph Company have opened an office at the right hand entrance of this Museum, from which dispatches may be sent to every part of the Union. Admittance to the whole Museum, the Picture Gallery, the Natural History Department, the Happy Family, and the Cosmorama Room, as well as the entertainments in the lecture room, 25 cents. Children under 10 years, 13 cents. Seats in the parquet and first balcony, 13 cents extra. Morning visitors admitted to the afternoon performances free. Among the unparalleled curiosities in this establishment may be mentioned the Mammoth Lady, Mrs. Sherwood, the largest woman in the world, who actually weighs 700 pounds and is a perfect mountain of humanity. In addition, the celebrated Living Skeleton who only weighs about 50 pounds. Besides the original Happy Family, the new wax works gallery, the extraordinary panopticon studio, with its illuminated paintings, &c., there is the miracle of art of the 19th century, the grand Aquaria, or Ocean and River Gardens. These ocean and river conservatories are the most exquisitely interesting things. They present us with a striking illustration of life beneath the waves. Professor Davidson, the celebrated glass blower, manufactures ships, dogs, trees and other fancy glass articles, in presence of visitors. The toys he prepares with such grace are for sale.
